Description

The project scope consists of the following:

- Connection of internal hydraulic services to existing infrastructure

- Augmentation of existing infrastructure to provide a better long term solution for the site involving 1,200m of pressurised PWC sewer and a large pump station to support the new service (Shown in image as Red Option 1).

Details of other innovations and value adding

Project timeline and cost reduction (Shown in image as Blue Option 2).

Our Team used their in-depth infrastructure understanding to work with PWC during the design process and undertook a capacity analysis of the service across the highway and confirmed the depth is sufficient for a gravity service rather than a pumped services to a location that is too deep for gravity sewer he then provided an options presentation of the system incorporating a bore under the highway to reduce traffic disruption. This resulted in altering the proposed sewerage design to remove the requirement of pressurised reticulation pipework for 1,200m and installing 184m of bored gravity service with a significant cost saving to the project. Peter understands the importance of cost efficiencies and has provided design solutions tailored to suit this project.
